Characteristic properties of forming of virtual cathode in canular relativistic electron beam

Abstract

Processes of forming of the virtual cathode (VC) in the canular relativistic electron beam (REB) in the external magnetic field are analyzed numerically with the help of 3D electromagnetic model. It was discovered that dynamics of VC in the system is determined by the value of external magnetic field and by the features of physical processes in the REB.
