With the integration of distributed energy resources into the distribution network, previously uncharacteristic emergency modes appear, since multi-sided power supply of the fault point becomes possible and electromechanical transients change. Relay protection in such situations can work falsely. Thus, when changing network modes, it is an revelant task to develop a system that is able to change the settings of the relay protection operation without human actions. Abstract
At present, problems in the implementation of relay protection can arise due to the integration of distributed energy resources into the distribution network.
