The communication between the controller and the switches is governed by the underlying southbound protocol. The performance of IT-SDN and Mininet-WiFi for the stated network scenario was measured using the metrics: end-to-end delay, throughput, packet delivery ratio and control overhead. Abstract

In this paper, we compare the performance of IT-SDN framework and Mininet-WiFi OpenFlow Network Emulator for Software-Defined Wireless Networks.
