The objective of this analysis is to provide an updated review of the knowledge andvariability of the basic elements of administration applied to the community forestry sector in Mexico, through the compilation ofinformation described by national and foreign researchers. To comply with the aforementioned, the administrative actions involvedin the organization, management, transformation and commercialization of forest products were identified, in order to know theeffect that the administration has managed to generate in the community forest productive chains. It was found that the elements ofadministration allow the involved actors to strategically select the actions they wish to undertake, to make decisions that enable thecommunity forestry company to achieve the established goals. Abstract

Managing the use of forest resources implies deciding when, where and how to harvest to meet market demands and meet the needsof the productive unit; the organization and administration of forest production processes seek to increase the efficiency of thecompany by rationalizing existing resources.
