First, update the current setting values of each component and collect the action information of current protection, calculate the support level of each protection to component based on effective protection range. Then, use this support level as the weight of protection action and build merged credible function and merged credible expected function of substation current protection. Finally, merged credible factor is defined as the ratio of these two functions, the faulted component can be identified by the maximum value of merged credible factor. The results of real substation show that faulty component can be identified correctly and rapidly without analog information or synchronized information. Abstract
