It aims at psychosocial rehabilitation and it counts with a multidisciplinary team. The National Policy on Humanization (Política Nacional de Humanização) emphasizes the soft technology of care, which refers to the therapeutic component of relationships and communication. This study describes the experience of a therapeutic and working group carried out at CAPS for about a year. It considers hardships, challenges and knowledge of the professionals, aiming at articulate to the practice with theoretical concepts of soft technologies of care, such as bonding, co-responsibility and autonomy, its relations and impact on professionals and patients/clients. More than the inclusion of people with mental illness in society, the goal are changes in society in order to learn how to deal and include individuals with different ways of being and perceiving the world.
