Abstract

This paper presents the numerical results of EMF waveform at the different types of structure in the interior permanent magnet synchronous machine (IPMSM). The numerical technique, fixed permeability method (FPM), has been used in order to analyze the EMF waveform considering load condition as well as no-load one. Furthermore, the relationship between total harmonic distortion (THD) of EMF waveform and various design variables in IPMSM is investigated for conceptual design guidelines
