Abstract

The quality of compensation of harmonic distortions for network voltages and currents by means of the power active filter depends on the control system settings. The difference in quality indicators of power supply when placing phase sensors of the network to generate a reference signal for two possible cases – on the network terminals and on the load terminals (at the point of load connection) is showed in the paper. It is proved that in asymmetrical modes of three-phase power supply system operation the placement of phase voltage sensors on load terminals leads to a decrease in the efficiency, shift coefficient and an increase in the THD of a network phase voltages and currents in comparison with the second case.
