Abstract

This paper introduces some simulation results regarding a DS spread spectrum system in which the principle of matched filter synchronization for acquisition of the code synchronization is used. Acquisition is performed by means of a matched filter or matched filter and reference filter, and synchronization pulses are integrated recursively over ten databits. A Gold code pair is used as the spreading code. AWG noise and a jamming carrier are added to the information signal in the channel, the jamming signal being either continuous or pulsed. The probabilities of detecting the main correlation peaks and false synchronizations and bit error rates are measured in the simulations. Some advantages are obtained from a reference filter in certain cases.
