Abstract

Traction power systems (TPS), being one of utility grids' most essential and high-power loads, are plagued by serious power quality issues. The development and expansion of various supply topologies for these systems has resulted in considerable many types of network voltage and current distortions in all TPS, the linked power system, and neighboring customers. Several researches have been conducted recently to study various elements of power quality in a certain providing topology. In this paper, a fast review of the power quality issues of the traction power system and some solutions for the problems.
