Abstract
This paper illustrated a detailed design of a 50kW solar-based charging system for 40 Easy-Bikes and the process of feeding the extra electricity into the grid through the net metering (NEM) process. Net metering, also known as net energy metering or NEM, is a billing system for electricity that enables users who produce part or all of their own power to use it whenever they choose rather than only when it is produced. Recently in Bangladesh, the Easy-Bike (EB) has emerged as a widespread and well-liked electric vehicle as a mode of the public transportation system. Bangladeshi national grid has seen a substantial amount of demand for more than ten years due to the charging of locally accessible electric vehicles like easy bikes and motorized rickshaws. These electric cars' heavy charging demand has caused the power distribution system to experience significant concerns due to how many of them are charged at particular times of the day. In this study, PVsyst version 7.2 was used as the simulation tool to determine the PV system's generation profile. After analyzing the findings, it can be said that the suggested design has a strong possibility to cut expenses and lessen the environmental effects.
