Abstract
Numerical simulation aimed on choice of the forming lines parameters that provide shortening the power electromagnetic impulses duration has been performed. Comparison of the numerical results with experimentally got data for a non-linear forming line with length 0.25 m at electromagnetic impulse with 2 kV application has shown their good coincidence. In such a case, the voltage impulse front duration lessens from 120 ns to 5 ns in a low resistance load (about 1 Ω). Numerical simulations have shown also that increase of the forming line length from 0.15 m to 0.45 m causes decrease of the impulse front duration from 10 ns to 3 ns and increase of the maximum output pulse voltage up to 1.8 times.
