Problems of fish breeders in Riyadh district, at Kafr El-Sheikh governorate

Abstract

This research mainly aimed to identify the problems of fish breeders in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, and Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate was chosen as a region to conduct this research, as it occupies the first place at the level of the Republic in fish production, and includes ten administrative centers that practice fish farming in six centers, and the Riyadh district was chosen Randomly of them to conduct this research, and the data of this research was collected through a personal interview questionnaire for a regular random sample of 150 respondents who were selected from the villages of the district represented in the villages of Kom Al-Tin and Al-Shaima, and the most important results were as follows: The most important problems facing the respondents were in six Groups, which could be arranged in descending order according to their relative importance from the respondents’ point of view as follows: guiding problems, financial and administrative problems, production problems, marketing problems, and finally price problems, with weighted degrees of 2.8, 2.44, 2.39, 2.39, 2.34 degrees, respectively. The most important suggestions of the respondents to overcome these problems are: amending the law prohibiting the use of irrigation water in fish farming, and regulating the conditions in the first fish farms, and Raising the fines imposed on fish farm holders of irrigation and water bodies, providing and increasing the security presence to protect fish farms, and providing soft loans to fish farm owners.
