Understanding Of Social Participation On Digital Media: An Investigation Of Social Action Platforms

Abstract

In this study, it is aimed to understand the effects of the social action platforms on the participation levels of individuals who participate the campaigns on social action platforms. The population of this study consists of individuals who have experience with social action platforms and the samples selected with by purposive sampling which is one of the nonprobability sampling methods. Semi-structured interview technique is used in this qualitative research. A Semi-structured interview form and a Likert type attitude scale designed by researcher, used as data collection tools. In the main findings of this study, participants have similar point of view about the joining the social participation activities but on the sub-themes, there are some different opinions that depend on the participants.
