Abstract

The channel phase estimates comprise the information of both the carrier frequency offset (CFO) and the Doppler shift (DS), thus this paper presents a joint estimator of CFO and DS by exploiting the phase difference of fading channel. In order to enhance the estimation stability, we propose an iterative strategy. First, the CFO is estimated and then compensated in the channel estimate stage. Second, both the CFO and DS are re-estimated by exploiting the compensated channel estimates. Simulations show a good performance in a wide range of signal-to-noise ratios (SNR) and velocities.
