We have, for the first time, implemented the paradigmatic Lugiato and Lefever (LL) model thanks to a passive fiber cavity and we have observed the generation of steady-state temporal dissipative structures in the form of cw pulse trains. Interests of this work range fiom fundamental studies of dissipative systems to applications in telecommunications.
