An Evaluation of The Employee Self-Service Feature of SAP System with Technology Acceptance Model (TAM): A Case Study

Abstract

The aim of this study is to assess the adoption of enterprise resource planning (ERP) in PT.ABC, a banking company in Indonesia which is using SAP NetWeaver and a module focused on employee self-service (ESS). In this study, the method of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was used to test the relationship between the variables (Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Attitude towards Usage and Behavioral Intention to Use). This study data was obtained through interviews, literature reviews and questionnaires from a total of 129 respondents who were users of ESS systems using regression sampling and the data was analyzed using SmartPLS. The analysis shows positive and significant results from the four hypotheses. The results of the study show that the perception of use required further development to improve the system and process, which in this study contains recommendations for further development.
