EDITORIAL: FROM A GENERAL APPROACH TO A SPECIFIC INITIATIVE

Abstract

The Bahiana School of Medicine and Public Health has a mission to promote transparency and integrity of scientific publications. This mission has been the cornerstone of the Journals published by BAHIANA, as the Brazilian Journal of Medicine and Human Health (BJMHH) has been no exception. This journal was founded in 2013 and since then has published a great number of open online articles, such as clinical cases, integrative and systematic reviews, original articles, and opinions written by experts in various fields of human health. The editorial process had put great emphasis on integrity (plagiarism identification, for example) and quality of research based on Equator guidelines.
