Abstract
In this paper, an induction grilling hot plate with class D series resonant inverter using asymmetrical duty control with phase detector for changing higher frequency at the lowest duty cycle control. The conventional fixed-frequency duty control method is combined with frequency control to achieve zero voltage soft switching modes at the lowest duty cycle control. The inverter has been operated at 41-43 kHz. The output power transferred to the load is around 565 watts. It can heat the grilling hot plate from room temperature to approximately 211° C within 5.30 minutes. Experimental studies have confirmed the validity of the proposed method.
