Abstract
To systematically quantify users' perceptual perceptions of nursing beds, analyze and summarize the general rules, and translate users' perceptual needs into design elements for new products to explore innovative design methods for multifunctional nursing beds. Using the semantic differential method in perceptual engineering, the user's perceptual imagery of the care bed is decomposed and quantified in three aspects: "feeling", "function" and "appearance", and a semantic space is established. A questionnaire survey was conducted to obtain the perceptual imagery scores for each sample, and the imagery scales were drawn according to the scores to summarize the trends in the design of multifunctional care beds. The design of the multifunctional nursing bed based on the theory of perceptual engineering is a good match for the user's needs, and it is also important to clarify the cognitive model of imagery for this type of product, which in turn can assist in the design of innovative solutions.
