Abstract
An analytical model for predicting the parasitic current and torque ripples generated in permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drives due to different types of errors or non-idealities in sine-cosine type position sensors is presented in this paper. The analytical models are extensively validated with simulation and experimental results on a practical PMSM drive.
