Abstract

Narrow linewidth lasers are vital for variety of applications and huge progress in some industries is impossible without the availability of high performance, and spectrally pure lasers. One approach for providing narrow linewidth is employing external cavity lasers. The aim of this study is designing and fabrication of a Distribute Bragg Reflector (DBR) in the UV-Blue wavelength range which can be used as an external feedback of a semiconductor laser. Here we present our simulation and experimental results and our methods for overcoming challenges we have for working in this wavelength range.
