An Adaptive Virtual Relaying MIMO (AV-RMIMO) technique shown in this paper that increases the channel capacity between two single-antenna equipped communication nodes. A Decode-and-Forward (DF) relaying scheme is used. AV-RMIMO-DF, benefits from the increased diversity of the Relaying MIMO channels and is applicable to mobile environments with no fundamental changes to the network topology. MMSE estimation via Adaptive MUD is used for node selection and recruitment to transform multiple single-antenna nodes into a single multi-antenna node.
