Abstract

The author looks into the “new” pathologies, linked with excessive behaviors, stemming from this overstimulating modernity, with which adults and children are bewildered. The author praises therefore the inactivity, necessary emptiness that authorizes the thinking subject to build a true psychological availability and that restores the importance of playing, beyond any direct educative considerations, as it can’t be summed up to its quantitative interpretation, but remains an intermediate and shared space of creation, that always has to be recreated.
