Medications for Trauma Victims

Abstract

Abstract This article examines the uses of pharmacological interventions when treating victims of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. The author addresses specific symptoms experienced by victims of PTSD while giving examples of medications that can be used to treat the symptom. The effects of the psychotropic drugs in treatment are discussed as well as fitting the correct prescription to the needs of the client.
