Abstract
Data center cooling with high efficiency as well as cost and energy savings is a crucial issue in the current energy scenario in Europe. Accordingly, in the present paper, a smart strategy for the cooling of a data center located in southern Italy is presented. The strategy makes use of the ambient temperatures, variable load, and the temperature of a geothermal well to define the most efficient operating modes for the generators in the data center.
