The study demonstrates that nonoxinol 9 does not have a negative effect on the ability to produce RFLP patterns. Abstract

Nonoxinol 9 effectively inactivates high titres of HIV in vitro, which suggest its use for reducing HIV-transmission via sexual intercourse.
