Multitemporal remote sensing of the outburst of three aquatic weeds in the Fuquene Lagoon, Colombia

Abstract

Looking into the subject matter, the analysis relates to two societal benefits identified by the GEOSS, namely those of improving the management and protection of terrestrial ecosystems and understanding, monitoring and conserving biodiversity. This multitemporal study presents the deterioration of a Colombian highland lagoon, Fuquene, due to bad land use practices that have fostered the outburst of three aquatic weeds: reed, buchon and elodea.
