Abstract
In this paper we have presented an automated as well as decentralized management model for autonomic base stations in wireless networks. The key benefit of our management model should be the central point of failure elimination as well as elimination of possible bottlenecks in the system, which should result in a significant performance increase of the management system. In our research, we have used a network simulator ns-3 to perform an evaluation of a proposed self-management model in terms of scalability and autonomic level. We have also analyzed simulation results that illustrate the scalability and management properties of the proposed self-management model for wireless networks.
