Abstract

A novel design of offshore twin counter-rotating vertical axis wind turbines (VAWTs) with deflector is proposed in this paper. We investigate the performance of the twin VAWTs by the two-dimensional computational fluid dynamic method with the Spalart-Allmaras turbulence model.
