After modeling the different parts of the power conversion system, the vector space parameters are used to express an efficient mathematical model on the dq scheme, in order to apply the grid voltage oriented vector control method. The obtained results show that the used control strategy is able to manage effectively the transmission of the power between the DFIG rotor and the grid part in both directions as required by the machine. In addition, it keeps correctly the appropriate characteristics. Simulation results are explained and discussed. Abstract

This paper aims to deal with the problem of modeling and control of a Grid Side System based on Double Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) in a Wind Turbine Machine (WTM).
