Abstract

3D Printed Luneburg lenses are manufactured - one as a spherical lens, and one as a joining of two hemispheres. The lenses are fed with an open-ended Ku-Band coaxial-to-waveguide adapter and measured over 10- 15 GHz to study the impact of the planar seam between the two hemispherical lenses. Conclusions drawn from the seam investigation provide insight for making larger Luneburg lenses from smaller subsections.
