Abstract
A chemical coagulatory coprecipitation method was used in the treatment of blast-furnace gas washing water. The treatment of gas washing wasterwater from iron and steel plant with polymeric aluminum-calcium chloride coagulation and coprecipitation united with PAM, at the same time the optimum quantity of agents and process conditions to treat such wastewater through experiments is established. The optimum quantity of poly-aluminum calcium chloride is 0.33 mg/L, PAM is 0.005 mg/L, the optimum stirring time is 60s and the optimum stirring speed is 90 r/min. It is efficient to treat such wasterwater and can meet reuse standard (<100 mg/L). The cost is low and worthy to be popularized.
