The risk of developing pressure ulcers is determined by the number of risk factors present in the patient and the quality of care provided, among other factors. The aim of the study is to emphasize the importance of decubitus ulcer prevention based on the current literature and the patient’s description with multiple risk factors. The paper points to preventive actions and their positive influence on the patient’s condition. The presented range of nursing procedures creates the possibility of individual adjustment to the needs of the individual patient.
