Studies of the process were carried out in order to obtain dependencies for calculating the roughness of the surface, the depth of the strengthened layer, the degree of plastic deformation, residual stresses, processing time and their experimental confirmation. he discrepancy between the results of theoretical and experimental studies does not exceed 20 %, which indicates their high convergence. Technological recommendations are given for designing the technological process of processing with a ball-rod hardener in the conditions of digital production. A methodology for computer-aided design of technological processes using the Microsoft Visual Studio software development environment in the C# programming language has been developed and presented. Abstract

The article presents studies of the quality of the surface layer during treatment with a multi-contact vibration impact tool — a ball-rod hardener, which will significantly facilitate the work of the technologist in technological design in the conditions of modern digital production.
