The results indicate that ICT has allowed students to carry out tasks, evaluations and receive feedback from their teachers. However, the effectiveness of the virtual environment compared to the traditional environ-ment is discussed. Abstract

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, Ecuadorian university institutions have started a new academic period in the virtual modality. The objective of this study was to evaluate the impact of ICT in the virtual teaching of students of the Salesian Poly-technic University as a challenge due to the pandemic.
