Abstract

Most telecommunication operators are moving cautiously with their video-based services rollouts because of video service assurance concerns. Competition between providers is fierce and the key to success is to provide a service with the highest possible level of user satisfaction (QoE, Quality of Experience). Providers, of course, cannot afford the risk of going to market with a sub-standard video offer and need to resolve their video quality problems. The paper presents an on-going work towards realization of the comprehensive video quality assessment system. An essential part of the system, "Artifacts Measurement" (AM), is described.
