Abstract
Based on the method of variational calculus is solved the problem of synthesis of preemphasis finite signal bases for transmission of digital symbols over frequency-selective channel. It is shown that the formation and application of such bases in telecommunication systems comes down to adaptive channel precoding of signal symbols, which takes into account the current channel options and allows to compensate the intersymbol interference. The results of computational experiment confirming the good properties of optimal signal bases.
