[The characteristics of carbohydrate transport in the intestines of fresh-water fishes].

Abstract

The maximal level of carbohydrate transport was found in the proximal portion of the intestine and in the distal one in the bream and carp. After 48-hr starvation the carbohydrate transport was decreased along the whole length of the intestine. Anoxia and some inhibiting agents changed the intensity of glucose and galactose transport in the fish intestine.
