Abstract

In the design of chain drives, especially in the case of accidental loading, it is of interest to obtain the function of chain reliability, i.e. prediction of the probability of its failure-free operation depending on the operating time. In the process of transmission design, the selection of the chain is carried out in such a way as to provide the necessary static strength. The frequency of rotation of the drive sprocket should not be greater than the maximum permissible, determined by the permissible kinetic energy of the impact at the time of engagement.
