Abstract

Through proper adopting metasurface array, a wideband circularly polarized patch antenna with low scattering characteristic is presented. By arraying the designed metasurface array around the corner-truncated patch circularly polarized patch antenna, an axial-ratio band-enhanced and gain-improved circular polarization radiation is obtained. For scattering case, under linearly polarized incidence, in-band and out-of-band radar cross section (RCS) reduction is achieved by phase cancellation between reflected waves.
