Abstract

A 330 GHz pulse gyrotron has been developed in theory and experiment. The compact magnet and pre-bunched cavity interaction circuit bring about the advantages of system miniaturization and broadband tuning capability. Here the start-oscillation dominance of operating TE6,2+ mode and the dynamic beam-wave interaction process are analyzed based on the measured magnetic field profile. We are currently carrying out the proof-of-principle experiment.
