Abstract
This paper focuses on the implementation of the Direct-Quadrature-Zero transforms in the RGB color space of a digital image. The implementation of the proposed method transforms the RGB channels of the matrix representation of a digital image into three channels of projections on the coordinate system (DQN). The channels (D) and (Q) contain most of the information regarding the image’s colors. A color-dependent rotation of the coordinate system (DQ) emphasizes the intensity of every color in the image’s color space and therefore, may be used for the image’s segmentation, scene analysis, and objects detection inside the scene. The experimental part of the paper presents an implementation of the proposed method within an application with an autonomous robot for the detection of objects inside the scene.
