Abstract

ABSTRACT Part 3 continues the descriptions of early Jurassic bivalves from the Hettangian and Lower Sinemurian stages of south-west Britain. Nine species are assigned to the subclass Anomalodesmata, including the genera Pholadomya (Pholadomya), Homomya, Goniomya (Goniomya), Pleuromya, Platymyoidea (including P. morrisi sp. nov.), Gresslya, Pteromya and Mactromya. The genus Mactromya is reassigned from the Lucinoidea to the Edmondioidea based on hinge and musculature features.
