The share of imports for individual products remains high and exceeds the threshold level of 20% of imports in the capacity of the domestic market. The main reason is the insufficient level of agricultural production. Crop yields and livestock productivity remain low. Abstract

The main task of the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan is to provide its population with food at the expense of its own production.
