Abstract
This paper presents power loss analysis of the multi-converter system with single wire and wireless power transfer. This system is intended to be used in underground auxiliary transportation where the need for highly efficient power electronic converter plays a crucial role. Presented in the paper multi-converter system consist of six converters. It is supplied from the three-phase power line and utilizes both the single-wire energy transfer and wireless energy transfer for charging the battery of the machine moving on a suspended rail. The purpose of the single-wire energy transfer use is to limit the cost of the system while the wireless energy transfer increases the safety of energy delivery to the moving machine.
