Using the protocol concept in wireless Sensor networks enhances scalability and reliability of the sensor networks and provides an efficient method for prolonging the network lifetime of sensor nodes. Abstract

Wireless communications energy consumption model reveals that the energy consumed by the sensor nodes is directly dependent on the communication distance. The basic requirement is to reduce the energy consumption of the various sensor nodes in the networks.
