This paper analyzes the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the flexible excitation system’s ability to support the grid voltage under large disturbances by simplifying the model and simulating. The results show that the flexible excitation system with ESS can provide effective voltage support under various faults. Abstract
Flexible excitation system is a new type of excitation system. When it is combined with an energy storage system (ESS), it can control the exchange of active and reactive power between the AC side and the grid.
