Abstract

As wireless communications evolve towards higher frequency bands, resilience against eavesdropping and other security threats remains one of the key system design considerations. A method based on frequency selection characteristics of water vapor absorption was proposed in a clear weather condition by Mittleman et.al. This paper investigates the influence of falling rain and snow on such an approach due to the contribution of water content in rain/snow droplets.
