Abstract

This article deals with how Hafs bin Ghayyat has discussed the Jarh and its various types , the average Jarh, the severe Jarh.  While comparing these types, he cites the statements of the imams regarding Jarh. He considers twelve narrators The study shows its modern and critical position, its rank among the critics, its characteristics, and the rank of the Jarh.
